Let me let you know about my relationship with push-ups — as in, it did not actually exist. After years and years (and years!) of understanding, having the ability to do a set of excellent push-ups by no means appeared to occur for me. I can plank for an honest period of time, can deadlift a decent barbell weight, and have run my justifiable share of races, however push-ups? Nope. And as a health editor, this has at all times felt embarrassing. This month I made a decision to get critical to overcome the elusive push-up and invested in private coaching.
